The associate manager, strategic functional communication plays an integral role in scoping, creating and executing internal communication messaging and plans for a variety of internal audiences and stakeholders to create awareness and understanding of strategic direction and alignment amongst leaders.
This role is the lead for assigned functions and projects with a focus on using communication to drive outcomes, engagement and alignmentThis person facilitates both department and enterprise-wide communication efforts.
Aligns senior leaders on communication approaches.
Defines proactive communication objectives associated with each program.
Measures effectiveness and progress toward achieving communication objectives.
Navigates and plans for information that is often uncertain or nuanced.
Creates highly-integrated, audience and outcome-based communication strategies leveraging company channels including the intranet, town halls, email, etc.
Fosters relationships with key executives and has the ability to craft unique strategic messaging in the voices of those leaders.
Offers practical, strategic approaches for communicating with all employees, with a particular lens on those in depots, retail locations and other non-office-based work sites.
Develops messaging and plans that drive alignment within and across multi-year, transformational projects that span departments and drive change.
Uses the communication support model to guide recommendations for communication planning and development.
Qualifications / requirements
Minimum education: bachelor`s degree, preferably in communication or related field.
Minimum experience: 5+ years of corporate employee/functional communications.
Preferred experience, skills and knowledge
Strong writing skills a must, with the ability to distill large amounts of information into digestible, salient points
Experience with microsoft sharepoint and teams preferred
Online content management experience a plus
Project management experience a plus
