As a collections representative, you will:
Be responsible for obtaining past-due debts from individual or business customers of the bankThese customers may have an overdrawn checking or savings account, or they may have missed an auto, mortgage or business loan paymentIdentifying the issue, collaborating on solutions and collecting the funds owed to the bank is at the heart of this position.
Work in a call center environmentRepresentatives wear headsets to field incoming calls and contact customersA system automatically dials telephone numbers of customers with past-due accounts and, once the call has been answered, the system connects the call to the collections representativeDuring calls, representatives access multiple systems to discuss account statusAfter an introductory period and proven competency, this position has the potential to transition to a remote work environment.
Place 70-100 outgoing calls each dayDiscussions are typically 10 minutes in lengthIn addition to discussions with customers, representatives also leave messages and field incoming calls.

High school or equivalent combination of education and experience
Less than 2 years customer service, call center, telemarketing, or office support
Strong technology skills including utilizing dual computer monitors, and multiple systems at once
