The ideal candidate thrives in a highly entrepreneurial, fast paced environmentThe role of the national account manager is to establish new client relationships and build a book of business encompassing advertising and project sales for top tier medical journals and websitesTo successfully achieve sales targets, the national account manager will become a product expert, understand the diagnostic, device and pharmaceutical marketplace, as it relates advertising to healthcare professionalsWe take pride in creating an ideal work environment focused on achieving goals and objectives through teamwork and creativity.
Responsibilities & duties
Build relationships with agency and brand decision makers
Ability to effectively track sales pipelines with accuracy
Sell current and new print and digital solutions, becoming an expert in our products and market
Set meetings and pitch capabilities in person and/or virtually to new and existing clients
Upon close of new business, works closely with the client services team on project hand-off and transition.
Regular travel is expected
The successful candidate will be an energetic, effective communicator who is able to excel in a sales environment while also functioning as a team playerDrive, energy, and a passion for excellence are essential.
Experience and qualifications
Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience
Prospecting, cold calling, “hunter” mentality
Strong communication and presentation skills
Agency or advertising sales experience selling to pharma (preferred)
Proficiency in ms office: power point, excel, word and crm systems
Get it done attitude
Strong technology skills
