We’re actively seeking an assistant manager, event production to join the production department in the professional development division!

As part of the professional development team, you will be at the forefront of virtual experience design, management, and executionWithin this role you will manage the creation and execution of various weekly ama virtual events and interact with key stakeholders across the industryOur team works with the top minds in content creation, professional development, and higher education amongst other industriesIn this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a fantastic event experience.

This role may require periodic on-site work in the futureThe ama requires self-certification of vaccination to attend a live eventAre you fully vaccinated or willing to become fully vaccinated if offered this position?
Assistant manager, event production core job responsibilities
Building the virtual event platform from start to finish and coordinating with project leads on timelines, content, and other deliverables for hybrid (in person as well as virtual) events.
Conducting rehearsals with speakers and reviewing conference platform and logistics in advance of the live virtual event, making recommendations on presentation flow and format best practices.
Preparing unique registration pages and attendee experience pages within the virtual event platform based on deliverables provided by internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with sponsor partners to create interactive virtual conference exhibit booths.
Cultivating a relationship with our sponsor partners and speakers for long-term success.
Scheduling ama support for virtual event execution and day of support for speakers and attendees.
Writing event scripting and flow for distribution to key ama stakeholders, speakers and support staff and aligning with other teams to identify key talking points to including in event scripting.
Training volunteers on and walking them through the event platform as needed for assisting with event execution.
Executing various ama online programs and virtual events as assigned in a timely, professional and effective manner and following up as needed with internal and external stakeholders to adhere to project deadlines.
Setting up and moderating live training series, webinars and virtual conferences and monitoring the attendee experience on event day and interacting with attendees via chat and q&a or the help desk.
Troubleshooting any issues speakers or attendees have within the virtual event platform.
Collaborating with other teams to ensure a smooth event experience for attendees, speakers and sponsors.
Creating metric reports for events and providing them to key stakeholders after each event as needed and completing other special projects and duties as assigned.
Focusing on continuous improvement of our events through data-driven insights.
Identifying new and interesting ways to utilize the event platform to add value to sponsor packages and speaker and attendee experiences.
Creating post-event retrospective summary reports for distribution amongst key ama stakeholders and identifying areas of improvement and opportunity for each event.
What you have
A bachelor’s degree with a concentration in communications, marketing, journalism, or a comparable field.
Proficiency with virtual event platforms (cvent preferred, zoom webinar, 6connex, on24, etc.)
2-3 years of work experience with a proven track record of completing projects on time and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
You are an incredible team player who is willing to help anyone and can learn quickly, with excellent written and verbal communication.
You are a positive, service-oriented steward of details.
You are excited and eager to learn new skills and platforms and to be regularly on-camera moderating virtual events.
You are able to occasionally work outside of standard core working hours.
What you may also have
Experience with webpage platforms such as wordpress.
Proficiency with microsoft office suite and google suite.
Familiarity with project management tools such as asana.
Experience with project management.
Customer service experience.
