About the job we are looking to hire a senior product marketing manager to help shape our industry category and accelerate the adoption of our open source and commercial products by users worldwideAs our first-ever product marketer and reporting to our chief marketing officer, you will bring your extensive product-led growth experience to lead the positioning, messaging, and rollout of product marketing assets across various campaigns and channels.
In this highly visible position, you will collaborate closely across the company with teams including engineering, developer relations, marketing, sales, and solution engineeringYou have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to drive measurable user adoption, monetization, and retention of developer-facing products, particularly for companies using kubernetes and other cloud-native developer tools.
Some examples of product marketing initiatives you will own or be involved with:
Lead and manage our go-to-market process for launching new features and product releases across our portfolio of open source and commercial technologies.
Develop a deep understanding of target user personas based on a clear framework that includes value drivers and differentiation.
Craft compelling persona-based messaging and content to convey the value of our products to support our awareness, acquisition, and adoption goals.
Generate and maintain a library of product marketing assets that span our various digital channels including our website, technical documentation, demos, developer education, sales tools, analyst presentations, advertising, and social media.
Gather and analyze user insights to influence weekly product growth experiments and marketing campaigns.
Partner with our product and engineering organization to organize and execute effective beta and developer preview programs.
Identify lighthouse customer wins and help secure impactful customer case studies.
Enable our sales and customer experience organization with the necessary content, tools, and training needed to win more deals and expand their usage of our products.
Become a trusted authority on the overall kubernetes developer tools landscape to guide strategic conversations with industry analysts and other thought leaders.
You have first-hand experience working with or marketing developer tools and cloud native technologies such as kubernetes, gitops, microservices, ides, and cloud platforms.
You have a proven track record as a leader in a b2b company with experience crafting compelling messaging for developers and technical audiences.
You have a deep technical curiosity and aptitude but are a creative marketer at heart, with passion and talent for content creation, storytelling, and modern communications.
You have experience marketing to both individual developers as well as traditional enterprise organizations.
You are viewed as a trusted partner by sales, solution engineers, and technical product teams.
You thrive in high-velocity startup organizations that require frequent context shifts and adjustments in day-to-day focus
You have 5+ years of experience working in product marketing, product management, or equivalent.
