Job description
Hii mission technologies is seeking a software development analyst that can work remotely to design, develop, enhance, debug, implement and manage software solutions for contractual deliverables to the us governmentThese deliverables will follow established technical compliance guidelines that support maintaining mission critical and operational systems for the us government to review, approve, and trackThe software development analyst must be adaptable and capable for managing and improving current software, applications, and tools to include integration with other technology platforms.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement primarily consisting of remote and occasional on site work in kearneysville, wv.
Essential job responsibilities
Researches, designs, develops, tests and/modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications softwareInvolved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standardsEvaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall systemsDocument testing and maintenance of system corrections.
Represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for technology developments.
Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
Collaborates with teams to develop new technology solutions or identify existing software solutions to existing project management problems that facilitates understanding among teams, reduces recreation of information, and communicates clearly to the user of this information.
Supports the administration of development activities including access control, document loading, and other maintenance and administrative functions.
Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Minimum qualifications
2 years of experience with an associate’s degree.
Exposure to cloud-based application, document libraries, pages, content, and workflows using css, html, javascript, etc.
Proficient in the use of desktop or personal computers with associated software (i.eWord processing, graphics, data base, spreadsheets, etc.) or other computer products as required by the clients or associated discipline.
Preferred requirements
2+ years of collaboration tool development experience (sharepoint, team foundation server, azure devops server)
Strong background in design/development of large web-based or client-server systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure
Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating saas applications with different business systems (business analytics, reporting, etc.)
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation), with the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical end-user personnel in large enterprises
Strong understanding of release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
Certifications: relevant certifications associated with job field
Security clearance: ability to obtain and maintain a public trust
