For most familiar with public accounting, there are two fundamental service lines: tax and assuranceClient accounting services (cas), as the fastest growing area in public accounting, is quickly becoming the thirdAt aldrich, we are excited to be transforming our cas practice by bringing to market a new service offering: outsourced accounting & advisory servicesIn this offering, we serve as our clients` accounting departmentFrom g/l accounting and managing business processes such as ar and ap, to producing management reports, budgets and forecasts, we are the client`s accounting teamUltimately, cas is bridging the gap between public and private accounting, blending the best of what both have to offerWe are looking for team members to join our growing team.
The accounting manager is responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function to ensure accurate and timely financial/management reporting and transaction processingIn addition, the accounting manager serves as the primary client relationship managerIn this role, you`ll work to build lasting client relationships, serve as a trusted advisor, and provide regular insight and analysis on company financial performance.
This position can be located in any of our local offices and/or work remotely.
Responsibilities
Review general ledger account accounts, reconciliations and workpapers
Monitor cash position
Review prepared financial statements
Prepare and maintain forecasts and budgets and identify variances
Prepare project profitability projections and breakeven analysis
Act as primary client relationship manager with client accounting services team, meeting with clients monthly to deliver and analyze prepared financial statements and fp&a projects
Calculate ratios and kpis and review prepared management reports and reporting packages for management reporting
Develop transaction processing, internal controls and month end close procedures and internal controls
Supervise and coach accounting associates and senior accounting associates
Desired skills and experience
Bachelor`s degree in the field of accounting, preferred or equivalent work experience
7+ years of private/public accounting working with clients in the $1 million to $10 million in revenue range
Extensive knowledge in microsoft excel
Licensed cpa
Strong attention to detail
Proven experience managing and developing people and teams
Expert level of understanding of gaap accounting and financial reporting requirements
