Job summary:
The united states coast guard (uscg) search and rescue (sar) maritime interdiction operations planned for the c-27j aircraft require the installation of a uscg maritime patrol aircraft (mpa) mission system (ms)The project engineer will provide engineering oversight and expertise during all phases of the project, to include planning and executionThis the installation will be conducted at crestview, fl.
Duties/responsibilities:
Applies engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems.
Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, design, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.

Education, experience and certifications required:
A bachelor`s or postgraduate degree in an engineering or physics discipline from an accreditation board for engineering and technology (abet) accredited institution.
A total of at least 6 years of professional engineering experience that has consisted of performing the foregoing engineering functions, and
At least 3 years of the foregoing total experience shall have consisted of performing engineering functions with respect to support, research or development of mechanical, electrical, or aerospace systems.
Physical requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
While primarily an office job, may require time at a manufacturing facility or other location
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Conus travel may be required from time to time
