Advocates for human potential, inc., (ahp) manages the nation’s most successful access to recovery (atr) program (www.ma-atr.org), which has changed the lives of thousands of people in recovery for substance use disorders and enrolled nearly 30,000 massachusetts residentsThe program is expanding and is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled communications manager.

Under the supervision of the atr operations director, you will support the atr program in the following ways:
Develop, edit, and manage engaging and informative content for atr’s monthly newsletter and update and provide content for atr’s website.
Manage the atr program’s contact lists, sharepoint site, website, web-based forms, and atr’s affiliated vendors who support these tools.
Serve as the main point of contact for the atr program’s central phone line and email address, responding to program inquiries and requests for information.
Conduct interviews with atr participants, providers, stakeholders to develop inspiring and informative content for monthly newsletters, press releases, and the atr website.
Assist with other projects as they arise, including research projects, state or federal reports, conference proposals, presentations, and/or new business proposals.
Liaise with ahp’s marketing and graphics department to generate ideas and strategic communications campaigns that will help further atr’s goals.
Work closely with the marketing department to reach out to stakeholders, media, and beyond to arrange story placement on a local and national level.
Track and analyze the analytics from communication efforts and use this information to help define key performance indicators for each communications channel, which will indicate a campaign`s level of success.
A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or journalismA master’s degree in a communications field is strongly preferredExposure to social work, behavioral health, public health, or similar field is a major benefit.
Experience in a communications or marketing role with project management experience.
Ability to persuasively and articulately present to internal and external audiences.
Possess excellent organizational and planning skills and have demonstrated skills in being flexible and adaptable to changing responsibilities.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to provide “virtual” technical assistance to providers.
Proficiency with word, outlook, excel, powerpoint
Adept at learning and using new software as needed.
Can work independently on an assignment until completion and deliver all tasks on time.
Ability to manage teams or take direction from others in project assignments within a matrixed organization.
Working knowledge of sharepoint and virtual meeting platforms, such as microsoft teams and zoom.
Familiarity with wordpress and/or experience with website design platforms
Compensation and benefits:
The hiring pay range is between $65,000 - $75,000 annually.
