This is a factory manager role, reporting to manufacturing operations manager in motion division located in bangaloreEnsure efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level).
Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.
Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout operationsCollaborates with operational excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles into production processes.
Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure ratesEnsures that 4q program (the standard abb process improvement methodology) training and methods are implemented into the organization.
Oversees the creation of manufacturing subcontracts and manages the subcontractor jointly with other involved disciplines, including supply chain management(e.gSubcontract employees are provided guidance on health and safety requirements and work practices, issued permits to work).
Delivers operational/project targets (e.gRotd, lead time, quality, etc.) to improve net promoter score (nps)Ensures that manufacturing resources implement improvements that address issues identified through customer complaint resolution process (ccrp), internal trans-actional partnership survey (itps), top 5 quality initiatives (t5qi) and other voice of the customer initiatives.
Ensures compliance with group health, safety and environmental di-rectives and that regulations are implemented, while monitoring and reporting progress and resultsAssesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.
Executes business unit/product group quality strategyDrives quality improvement through target setting, monitoring and benchmarking to continuously improve processesExecutes quality management for monitoring and validating day to day control of processesEnsures manufacturing operations are in compliance with applicable standardsDrives continued improvements in productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
Ensures (with hr manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directedGuides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within hr policies.
Implements and ensures compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.es that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directedBuilds an effective, capable and high per-forming organizationDevelops talent, appoints managers and reviews effectiveness.
Diploma in electrical/mechanical domain.
Up to 6- 10 years of experience in warehouse management.
Sound knowledge of electrical components, pcb components, semiconductor.
Traction products knowledge is added advantage.
