Leading supplier corrective action requests and reviews
Collaborating with suppliers to ensure appropriate compensation is obtained when non-conformances occur
Using data analytics to provide insights on performance of key suppliers
Leading supplier improvement projects
Organizing and leading supplier quality audits
Participating in supplier selection process
Leading supplier prioritization process
Monitoring, reviewing and documenting supplier performance ratings
Your skills and expertise to set you up for success in this role from day one, 3m requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of combined experience working in a quality engineering, supplier management, quality management systems, and/or six sigma position within a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of manufacturing/production experience in an automotive, electrical or other industrial manufacturing segment
Two (2) years of experience leading and/or actively participating in quality audits
Two (2) years of experience working in product engineering, process engineering, quality assurance and/or another related technical field
Two (2) years of experience working with suppliers on quality improvement initiatives
Demonstrated experience utilizing statistical tools to analyze/develop quality improvement processes (minitab, jmp or other software tool)
Certification(s) such as: american society for quality (asq) certified quality engineer (cqe), certified supplier quality professional (cqsp) or other quality-related certification
