The product manager will be responsible for all aspects of creating the next generation of 365 products and servicesToday’s point-of-sale environment is extremely competitive, rapidly evolving and ripe for innovationWhether it be digital signage, flexible points of sale that convert from cashier service to self-checkout, or app-based order ahead programs, operators are looking to do more with less, enabled by technologyYour job as the product manager will be to understand these opportunities, pain points and gaps in the marketplace and position the 365 solutions to solve/deliver them and moreThe product manager will orchestrate the efforts of marketing teams, sales teams, finance, and other functions to drive awareness of the problems we are solving and ensure the successful launch products that do not necessarily look or feel like traditional pos experiencesThis position will report directly to the vice president of product management at 365 retail markets.
Lead the research, design, innovation, and deployment of new/existing products that position 365 retail markets as a leader in innovation with respect to self-service technologies, including detailed governance of and engagement in activities in the design-to-deploy process as needed.
Knowledge of dining point of sale fundamentals such as product database management, menu building, payments, inventory, taxes, key reporting, etc.
Experience vetting, deploying and troubleshooting point of sale hardware and peripherals including pos terminals, printers, barcode scanners, scales, etc.
Identify target markets and methods to gain access into those markets, develop ways and means of enhancing the value of existing products, promote new product development, and capture new project requirements organically.
Empathy for customer pain points and the ability to listen when needed and speak/present to demonstrate a true and complete understanding of the root cause of the problem you are solving.
Assesses market competition by comparing the company`s product to competitors` products on a regular and ongoing basis and present those findings to 365 managementRegularly perform pricing and competitive analysis by customer channel and recommend strategies to improve market position, improve quality and/or reduce costs.
Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing and support teams to provide product knowledge support as/when opportunities for deployment of dining solutions occur.
Manage total accountability of the dining product portfolio and oversee execution of mid-office operations, design appropriate kpis, and manage the business according to those approved kpis.
Establish and maintain relationships with business partners to help facilitate business execution.
Experience deploying solutions in the field and/or working with self-service pos technologies
Other duties as assigned by the vice president of product.
Bachelor`s degree (b.a.) in business, finance, or a related area and a minimum of 5-6 years of related experience specifically in the vending industry
Experience with managing/understanding software life cycles is preferred
